Because it isn't bad enough that we're basically working for the devil himself, or that there's *already* at least five factions not-quite-fighting for control of this stupid 'rebellion' (not my name for us -- that's what the CEC is calling it internally though) (externally I think we're 'slavers', yay).

No. That we might even *survive* although I'm not all that encouraged to find out that Eight Freaking Green Insane Murdering Dragons might be 'on our side'. Now Limit's decided to ask the Insectoids for help.

Maybe I'm overreacting. They'll say 'no', right? I mean, what do we have to offer them, except for a cluster of resource-rich but underutilized star systems with a population desperate enough to ask *anyone* for help and give away the world(s) just to spite the CEC?

Gah.
