Um... because they're the WORST ALLIES EVER? As far as I can tell our 'alliance' involves active military conflict against each other and then pretending that it didn't happen? The government is like a slightly less sane Saddam Hussein?
Well, that's why *I* don't care about Pakistan. It was not among the theories Slate listed for why there isn't a huge flood of private donations.
