Monday: Walked to work. On the way home, saw the bus and jumped on because it was right there. Realized after getting on the bus that I'd left my hat and ipod at work.
Tuesday: No walking because I didn't have my ipod (I have other hats)
Wednesday: As penance for skipping Tuesday, I walked to work and back. Saw snowwy waiting at the bus stop. Saw the bus pull up to the stop near my apartment as I arrived at my apartment. The bus *is* faster if it's right there, though -- it's only having to wait for it that makes it as slow as walking.
There's also this one block (8 blocks if you go by street numbers, but that's the normal block size on the east side) where walking is as fast as driving -- about 10 minutes to walk it or drive it. I passed the same very recognizable (corporate logo-studded) car at either end, as the stop-and-go traffic stopped and went.
Today: Normal 30-minute walk before work. Plan for the same tomorrow, since I need to drive down to Renton afterwards.
I was thinking about walking this morning, but didn't. No sense burning myself out on it.
I noticed that I finally got back to 225, which is exactly where I was before I started dieting a couple years ago (and got down to 215 before ballooning to 235 over the holidays, then staying there for a long, long time for no apparent reason). Good to know all my pain and effort has been worthwhile.
In lighter news, I decided that I'd save time and money levelling Spider Vix up to 27 by putting in bids on the salvage and recipes for some IOs ahead of time, like the web guides self-righteously suggested. While this might save time and money, it's also filled up all her recipe, salvage, and enhancement slots with IOs she can't use yet (or would have to zot SOs she plans to sell back to use). DOH.
