I hate xp groups
Aug. 11th, 2005 10:21 amSeriously, they are ( NOT FUN. )
God, it sucked. So I went home. Where I found that nothing on the broker had sold, because when I thought 'they already fixed the problem and the brokers are working again' it was really 'they hadn't disabled the brokers in freeport yet'. And now they have.
I bought a portable chem table to try to do some tradeskilling in my inn room while selling, but results from that are capped at crude. Which makes it utterly useless unless I want to burn huge amounts of raw materials and time for miniscule xp gain and give up on the idea of making anything useful.
Which I don't, so I logged off.
I went on taps, and got accosted by Effsey, who is not interested in the things I go to taps for. I explained this to him at length, and he seemed to understand it, which put him one up on Speckles. }:) But ruined my mood and wasted all my time anyway.
So, I decided to try to salvage the night by trying out the new nippon ichi game. Disgaea was the first (and best) of theirs that I've played -- I played all the way through it twice. La Pucelle seemed about as good, until I got to a part I literally couldn't get past even after multiple tries and looking for help online and everything -- you weren't allowed to kill any of the enemies, and they were completely blocking your path. Phantom Brave was really neat until I found out about 'failure fusion' -- I was unable to resist using this exploit to uberize my items to the point where all my characters would use up all their turns before the enemy got to move. I call this the 'Morrowind' game death, since Morrowind was the first game it happened to me in.
Just started playing the latest (I wish I could remember its name), and I haven't run into its game-breaking flaw yet. Maybe it'll actually be good!
