No Game For You
Jul. 12th, 2005 11:58 amWell, no Star Wars, anyway, since Jeff was sick. Stacey and Ed and I played a game of Carcasonne -- which Ed won by a blowout because the city I spent most of the game building (not *intentionally*, mind you...) got Cathedralled and then sabotaged at the last second; we figured it out afterwards, and if I'd gotten a piece that completed it (city/road/field/open, but it turned out that at that point there was exactly on piece left that would have done it, and Ed got it on the very next turn) I would have won by 21 points, instead of losing by 84. Ah, well.
Afterwards we went to see Fantastic Four, which seemed decent, if not really awesome in any way. The end was sort of anticlimactic, but there were a few fun bits in the middle.
When the movie ended, we stood out in the parking lot chatting about stuff, until gradually we realized that the people behind us were screaming at each other because they'd left their keys in the car and the car running all during the movie. It wasn't out of gas or anything, but they were pointing fingers right and left and screaming and all. After realizing that we found we couldn't stop listening to them, which was rude, so we left instead.
