Digital Devil Saga rocks!
Apr. 21st, 2005 10:24 amIt hasn't replaced City of Heroes (yet), but it's replaced the second-string alts I used to play when I only had 30min or an hour. It's got the same combat system I liked from Nocturne, without the ludicrously tedious pet demon management; instead its advancement is more typical, sort of a hybrid of Nocturne's main character advancement (where you pick a subset of the skills you learn to keep, although you can change your mind in this one, also a positive change), final fantasy X's sphere grid, Xenosaga II's skill tables, and final fantasy IX's 'equip this until you've learned its skills'.
Plus, the story was written specifically to appeal to me. }:P It seems to be about people in purgatory ordered by a mysterious authority to become cannibal demons. (Haibane Renmei meets Ravenous?)
