Maybe I just suck at the game...
Apr. 14th, 2005 01:29 pmPeople playing of City of Heroes keep claiming -- and occasionally demonstrating -- that they can solo groups of monsters of higher levels than themselves with their blasters and scrappers... but whenever I try it, I seem to end up taking a dirt nap.
Well, that's not true. But unless I get lucky, I'll have to run away.
This came up last night when I tried to solo the cape quest, only to die ignominously to an even-levelled minion/minion/lieutenant trio in the very first room. I'm not sure how exactly they killed me -- it happened really fast, and I don't remember my health being in the danger zone ever, because I died with like three green insps -- but looking at the log showed that there was a sleep in there somewhere... maybe that was it.
Ugh. That and a previous death from trying to street-sweep in Faultline in a group of 3 puts me at 2500 debt, which is the most debt I've ever had. That'll take *minutes* to clear!
