God hates me (or wants me to stop playing computer games)

Since nothing in particular was up at work, I decided to take a few days off to bum around the house and rest... and, yes, play city of heroes... or, more to the point, have enough time to both play city of heroes *and* take care of other stuff, like setting up the new computer for real. But mostly play city of heroes.

Except that the day after I did that, they installed a new server patch that makes it so that I can't connect, and neither can lots of other people. Except that they all seem to have remedies (run ipconfig /flushdns, then reboot!) that don't seem to work for me at all.

Yesterday, I was able to get on after about an hour of trying over and over again... but today that didn't work. Argh!

I have lots of other things I could do instead, but I don't *want* to do any of them.

Shut up SHUT UP SHUT UP!

The electrician I was warned about came by today to replace the outlets in the kitchen and bathroom with different outlets. He expressed surprise that I was home, but despite that wouldn't SHUT THE FUCK UP even though it was obvious that I was trying to watch TV. In a way, it's a good thing that I couldn't connect to City of Heroes earlier, because getting constantly distracted from that might have annoyed other people too...

Yeah, right. It's not like I can connect now either. Grrr.

Anyway, he was trying to be friendly, so I didn't feel right telling him to SHUT THE FUCK UP but I really, really wished he would have gotten the hint when I went into another room and turned the TV up loud enough to drown him out, that maybe I didn't want to make smalltalk. But no, he didn't... instead, he 'accidentally' cut the power to the television.

It was only supposed to take him 15 minutes to do the job, but he must have spent two hours on it. Maybe because instead of actually doing the job he was constantly talking to me about what he was going to do next, or spouting racist slurs against other electricians and the other people who live in the apartment building? GAAAAH.

I shouldn't even be trying to connect to CoH now, because I'm in the mood where frustrations are going to feed on each other and spiral out of control. Damn it damn it damn it damn it.
