Going in: no XP, no debt.
After fighting five ruin mages (level 15 bosses inexplicably surrounded by level 10 followers): 300 xp, 1000 debt.
So basically I lost ground. A *lot* of ground. Every point of debt is a point of XP you won't get in the future.
The only way I found not to die against the damn things was to only pretend to fight them and just sort of hover nearby while the rest of the team did the work. If I ever got aggro, I was toast, because they could one-shot me at range. Admittedly, only the melee one-shot happened all at once, but I'd die from their hold's DOT before getting free, and everyone else in the group was always too busy to heal me.
