"Why are you even bothering? You know what kind of decks I play, but you're proxying *power 9* against me?"

Yeah, that was Magic today.

But the meet was kind of fun anyway -- I was mostly playing the precon ninja deck that I'd modified to not suck (as much). It looks like the key to using ninjas well is to not get too obsessed with the ninjability -- and try not to return a creature that costs more than the difference between the ninja cost and the hard-cast cost. So, Soratami Cloudskaters for the blue ninjas.

The black ninjas, on the other hand, hit REALLY HARD, so it's okay to lose a bit of tempo for them. Compare: )

After the meet -- MUCH after the meet, as I played magic until the mall closed, basically -- Brellan and Hyper and cetera came back and Brellan begged me for a ride home... home in Federal Way. Yay. >.< I agreed, for some reason, and listened to him talk about his BDSM master all the way home -- how he was forbidden from taking a piss without his master's permission, even though he only knew the guy online. Obeying real-life commands from someone you know over the internet -- that stuff just creeps me out.

He insisted he was happy with it. "I used to be annoyed when my master wouldn't let me do things, but now I just feel happy when he allows me any privilege!" Brrrr. [shudder]

Right. Anyway, I hung out at Lex's (that's where Brellan lives, for now) for a few hours, watching the end of the superbowl (I was really annoyed that they didn't even bother to run out the clock -- they just ended it when there was no possibility that the Eagles would win) and the new 'American Dad' show (sort of like a version of Family Guy with less sympathetic characters and more Ren and Stimpy style gross-out) with a bunch of other people who happened to be over. Brellan bought me some Arbys are half price using his employee discount to pay me back for giving him a ride; I wasn't hungry, but I was going to eat them for lunch tomorrow.

Of course, as soon as I got home I ate them all right away, along with every other item of food in the house. I suck.

On the way up I gave Tiro a ride back to Bellevue (since I, like, live in Bellevue anyway) and listened to him lecture me on history and mythology. I don't know why, but some of these people just like to talk... and talk and talk and talk and talk. I guess I sometimes get in the same mood, but mostly I'd really rather listen to music (or maybe sing along with it q:3).

Anyway, that's about it.
