We had a morale event on the cheap today -- they gave us movie tickets to go see National Treasure. The movie was okay, if you can suspend disbelief, which I know some people always have a lot of trouble doing.

I was sitting next to Jessica, who's really into Puzzle Hunt and things of that sort -- where you get a puzzly clue and follow it to the next clue, and so on. She kept giggling about each step, because the movie was exactly like 'the world's best puzzle hunt'. She also kept solving the puzzles before the people on screen could.

The other things people compared it to was 'The Goonies', and the last part at least was kind of similar. It also sort of reminded me of those old Hanna Barbera cartoons where there'd be a race of some sort, with the evil team always cheating to stay just barely in the race.

Afterwards, we stopped by the company store, and I picked up a plush butterfly and a lanyard, ostensibly to hold your badge, but looking at it I don't see any way that it could actually be used to do that. Damn it. I guess I'll keep on just keeping it in my pocket; clipping it my clothing somewhere is too risky.
