I need to start charging
Sep. 19th, 2004 09:45 pmIt was 9:30 when I finally got home, and I started driving people around at 5. We maybe spent a half hour at Lexx's before he kicked us out, so that means I just spent four hours driving people home. FOUR HOURS!
What happened, was that after the meet, we saw a movie. It was a relatively pleasant meet, even if there wasn't much magic playing going on. Kitsunetaur had a few cards from Kamigawa from the prerelease yesterday, and it was neat to see them, even if I'd already read most of them on the spoiler list.
So, we went to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. It was an *awesome* movie -- the special effects were everything I expected (and more! I didn't expect dinosaurs), and the dialogue and acting was also really good, so it wasn't just a mindless action movie. It was funny. }:)
But after the movie, I discovered that I was the only person there who had a car. Out of the eight of us. Eight > five, the maximum number that can actually fit in my car, so there was a problem. I ended up dropping Gray and his boyfriend off, because they lived nearby, then coming back to the mall to pick up the others, after which we went down to Lexx's.
When we got there, we discovered Morphy had arranged for Lexx and him to go out to dinner with some other friends, which meant we all had to leave. This was especially troubling for Beo, since he'd been counting on being able to get a ride home from his family in Tacoma, who wouldn't be able to come up and get him until ten or so. So I had to drive him down to Tacoma, then Raven all the way out to her house 'ten minutes' from Lex's (more like twenty), then drop Kitsunetaur off in Seattle, and then I could head home.
Grr.
