So Lazy...

The day got off to a roaring start with an invitation to a team lunch, that my lead apparently sent out at midnight. We went to Azteca to meet the new people and make fun of their aliases, and gorge ourselves. We talked about aptitude tests, and pets. Someone brought a pocket-PC with mini-excel on it, and we joked about making her the treasurer since she was equipped to calculate everyone's share, but we ended up just doing it ad-hoc, like always... surprisingly, this time it ended up exactly right, tip and all. Which was pure luck, since I KNOW the person next to me didn't pay his share.

It all took about an hour and a half -- lunch out at a restaurant usually takes that long, for some reason.

Now I'm writing this entry instead of working. I've been trying to work on and off with mixed success all day. I hate being lazy -- I'd rather just not come to work if I'm not going to accomplish anything.

ARGH

I'm getting random crashes, that don't look like my fault,
but I've made extensive changes and I can't quite rule that out.
I get a console message that a block was double freed,
but a stupid console message isn't really what I need.
Someone suggested GDB, "Just break on debug_print,"
but no one knows which library has debug_printf in it.
I miss the old heap manager that gave us real asserts,
and curse this drive towards "progress", that always makes things worse.
