Tonight we had another session of Jeff's Dragonlance-themed campaign. This time, after a looooong period resting and enchanting, we got roped into a plot to kill Frost, the dragon overlord who plagues Southern Ergoth. Our secret assault was cut short when a Roper ambush forced us to reconsider our supply of clerical magic (and, possibly, our supply of clerics).

Fortunately, we'd set out a month and a half early because we were bored.

I just took my last non-dragon-disciple level with Kijj, so starting next level I'll be slowly turning myself into a dragon. This corresponds wonderfully with the 'do this and you'll turn into a dragon' scam that got pulled on him.

I'm thinking of taking leadership as my 12th level feat, and picking up a cleric. Not having anyone in the party that can cast divine magic is a bit silly! It'll be the third cohort in the group, though.

I had a dream last night. I don't remember much about it, except that it took place entirely in the house where I grew up, and involved doing normal things with my family... but something happened in it that had me wake up crying guilty tears for Iraq.

Maybe we were watching the news, or something.

I really like the oatmeal-raisin muffins that they sell at the Starbucks counter in the work cafeteria. Sometimes, I'll head over during their 'daily bake sale' after 2pm, where they try to sell off the unsold baked goods at 2-for-1, and buy a couple to snack on to help stay awake and energetic, etc.

Yesterday, though, they didn't have any muffins at all, and I was forced to settle for biscuits instead. The biscuits weren't sweet scone-like biscuits like I expected, though -- they were sort of like cold, stale versions of the ones you get from KFC. Not really good to snack on.

Today when I headed over it was even worse, though -- I scanned the display as I got into line and saw that yay! There were two muffins left! So I waited through the whole line, until finally I was next-to-first, at which point the guy in front of me bought both of them. CURSE HIM!

He shot me a confused look as I stormed off in a huff. What did he *think* I was there to buy? The biscuits?

So I got oatmeal-raisin cookies out of the vending machine instead, and they're... well... not really all that good. I'm not sure there are actually oats in these cookies, they just have the intense, vaguely revolting 'vending machine cookie' taste that drowns out whatever flavor the cookie is supposed to have...

Sigh. u.u Maybe some other day.
