Good, the world hasn't gone *completely* insane...

Note to self: ACTUALLY make people show me magic rulings in the future instead of just telling them that they should and then deciding you don't want to move.

The ruling that Morphy was going on about Sunday about Double-Strike creatures dealing their damage directly to the opponent if their first-strike damage killed all the blockers was talking about a THORN ELEMENTAL. Thorn Elementals have an ability which allows them to assign damage directly to an opponent.

On top of that, another ruling clearly states that even if a double strike creature has no surviving blockers, it doesn't deal damage to the opponent if it was blocked unless it has trample.

The End of the Myrs

Wizards banned Skullclamp AND I discovered that Disciples of the Vault doesn't trigger Talon of Pain because it's loss of life instead of damage, so the deck is basically toast until it gets a MAJOR overhaul... I'll need a way to do damage to my opponent, and a way to draw cards, and a way to kill my own creatures.

I should probably wait to repair it until I get some 5th Dawn cards and see what I have to work with, tho, since that's being released this weekend. If I got my hands on a few Blasting Stations, for instance...
