We didn't actually have another session of the Shadake game. I couldn't come up with any continuation that was likely to end in a better place to stop after just one night.

So instead, we played a bunch of 4-player magic. It went pretty well -- I think everyone won at least once. Lazar had a millstone deck that was just evil once it got going -- mesmeric orb and crumbling sanctuary in a 250 card deck with multiple feldon's canes. All Lazar's decks are completely proxied, so they're full of (simulated) rares. Sometimes he proxies cards he made up himself.

Anyway, next week or the week after or something like that we'll start a new campaign with Lazar GMing again. Vaguely starcraft based, with more combat, it sounds like -- he's trying to test a new combat system.

Today, I went out to the Alderwood mall, because I found myself moping aroudn the house when it was really nice outside, and didn't feel like yet another park. I parked in one of their new garages (for some reason, the lower level is HUGE -- twice as tall as it needs to be, lots of wasted height) and walked in through the nearest door... right into the shoe section.

It was a sign, so I had to buy new shoes. My old ones were falling apart, so it was time anyway... I probably didn't have to get two pairs, though.

The shoes were heavy, so I went back to the car to dump them in the trunk, then walked halfway around the outside of the mall to the nearest non-anchor-store-entrance. Right inside the door, just past the food court, was a Gamestop... and... um... I got a gamecube. And Crystal Chronicles, and Pokemon, and a bunch of other games.

I left before I wasted even more money. But stopped to get a Jamba Juice on the way. I think I'm addicted, now. Damn them.
