Sunday Magic
Apr. 5th, 2004 12:06 amI remembered to take my magic cards to the Crossroads gathering today, which may or may not have been a mistake. }:P It meant I spent most of the time playing magic with other people instead of whatever it is I normally do. Talk? Or something?
It was fun, for the most part. One person demonstrated what a Raffinity deck was all about, and... yeegads, *something* about that deck should be illegal. Turn three kills. Zero-cost 4/4 creatures. And then the Ravagers themselves -- my god.
But then, I already knew that my decks weren't tournament quality.
Anyway, we went to a movie, for once. 'Hellboy'. It was, like, a normal sort of action movie with tentacle monsters. The monsters weren't particular neat, and the plot wasn't particularly holey. So, whee.
Then I stopped over at Legend's to get my beast deck back from Loial (he borrowed it while I was at the movie) and got roped into taking Lex and Morphy and VBF from two weeks ago back to their new apartment down in Federal Way. Lex was very jumpy, still, after his accident of a few days ago, and VBF spent most of the time insulting various drivers for one thing or another. And had us go an extra exit south so that he could pick something up at Wendy's. But it wasn't as far as I'd expected, still, so it was okay.
But now, I feel sort of half-dead from an achey stuffy head etc. Urgh.
