Tonight was another session of Jeff's Dragonlance campaign. We thought the two new guys were going to be no-shows, but they arrived only an hour or so late, which was before anything interesting happened.

We leveled up midway through the game, and Morgan added two-weapon fighting... and was very annoyed when he didn't get the chance to use it even once for the rest of the night, as everything we fought (of note) was flying.

The friday game was cancelled this week, since Lazar collapsed at Digipen and we didn't have time to find anywhere else to play. Sandy posted a notification to the list around 12:30, but it didn't actually show up on the website until... well, actually, it wasn't there around 2pm when I checked, and I haven't checked again since.

This meant I drove Shadarack all the way down there, only to have to turn around and go back. Ahwell.

So I went over to Shadarack's (Tasho's) place, listening to him talking about how he was really good at all sorts of jobs, and never had to wait more than a day before finding more work, so it was okay that he was only working for temp agencies. Apparently, he has a really good deal on his current living conditions... of course, all it buys him is a matress tossed in the corner of the living room, but whatever works, I guess.

We decided to play the Girl Genius card game, since they didn't have any open slots to start a new low-level game of Crystal Chronicals (which I wanted to try) and they were all sick of it anyway. Shadarack couldn't find the manual, but he knew it was available online. It only took him 20 minutes to find it. And another 30 to give up on trying to get it to print out nicely. Gaaaaah.

The game itself seemed interesting, if a bit slow... there's lots of thinking to do about each move, generally. It was slowed down even more by Shadarack getting a call in the middle of the game, which went on for quite a while. I was annoyed at the delay ('why doesn't he tell them to call back later?' etc) until I realized it was him getting fired. The temp agency already has another job for him to do though. I suppose it was important for him to accept it. }:P

But anyway, it ended up with me spending three and a half hours and getting in one card game. About par for the course when you try to coordinate with other people. x.x

No one *made* me get a livejournal, but the person I tend to blame is [livejournal.com profile] chahala.
