*sigh*

A couple weeks ago, one of our lovely PGMs decided to schedule a conference call with England to try to resolve an issue with an external program. He scheduled it for significantly earlier than the earliest time I told him I would be in, but like he probably counted on, I knew that I *had* to be there for it, so took extreme measures to be able to somehow remember to get up early on a Monday -- set a reminder for Friday, then sent myself e-mail at home, and similarly bounced the reminder along until Sunday night when I had to set my alarm and go to bed an hour early.

And I got in on time, to find that he'd cancelled the meeting.
