Lazy week.
Dec. 18th, 2003 03:58 pmIt turns out the reviewers *were* talking about space channel 5 part 2, which is included in the PS2 version and fixes the problems -- instant response to your commands, which is sort of important in a rhythm game (I had to close my eyes when entering commands in the original). It adds some annoying complications, like singing (GOD I hate the singing parts -- well, not HATE hate, more 'die on') and the occasional foray into waltz time.
I finished Hordes of the Underdark. It was neat, and I thought it had the right flavor for an Epic D+D campaign, should I ever run one. You don't just mess with demons and devils -- although there's a point where, if you choose, you can cut a swath through a dozen pit fiends and balors -- you mess with the freaking Archduke of Cania. Yeek.
It also rewards cynicism. Which is always a plus.
But now it's time to re-locate the fan sites and get a few more modules to play -- I'm not sick of NWN again yet. }:P
Oh, and I need to go see Return of the King sometime. I wonder if it's still sold out?
