CotSQ 10

Tonight was my Monday D+D game, in which (in order to challenge a party a couple levels ahead of the game) I threw together three or four encounters at once, and they *still* slaughtered everything... although there were at least a few moments of doubt.

What's up with ghosts? When the only attack a CR 11 creature can make is to touch for 1d4 damage, Something Is Wrong.

Last night I made a Grave Error. Two of them, in fact!

The first was to watch Battlestar Galactica at 1am (2am?), even though I had it on tape. Well, I guess I'm not *sure* I have it on tape... but still. I did need to get up early this morning (like every morning) and so I got little sleep.

And I got even less because I didn't have the heat on at all all yesterday or all night, and the windows were open. That's normal, kinda, to air out the apartment (otherwise it gets pretty musty after a day or two), but usually I let it warm up before bed and trap the warm air in my bedroom. I didn't, last night, and spent the whole night dreaming about huddling under blankets, freezing my feet off.

Brrr.

I *knew* I had something I wanted to say...

...why can't I ever remember it before rambling on about things I only sort of wanted to say?

Anyway, I'm taking three weeks of vacation starting next week (to avoid losing vacation at year's end), and I have no idea what I want to do with it.

• I don't want to just sit around the house and play video games.


• I don't want to fly anywhere, even if I could on such short notice.


• I don't want to drive more than an hour at a time, because I'll fall asleep and die.


• I want to go somewhere warm.


• I don't really want to just go somewhere by myself and try to have fun alone, because that's boring.


• It seems sort of short notice to try to rope someone into going somewhere with me.


• ...and that's even if I had anyone in particular that I'd want to ask, which I don't.

So, I think I'm just doomed. Le'sigh.
