The weather here is frightful -- cold (in the 60s!) and overcast. Apparently, someone finally got around to flipping the 'winter' switch. Or, more seriously, the giant storm that woke me up in the middle of the night was a big cold front. At any rate, it might be time to switch to my winter coat.
Disgaea is doing the whole 'engrossing game' thing on me, and keeping me from really doing anything else, aside from previously scheduled events (like 'work') to which I devote the minimum attention possible. Reading through some of the FAQs, and just playing the game itself, makes it look like there might not really be any upper bound to the amount of time I could spend on the game, if I set my mind to it. I'm not quite halfway through the plot at 30 hours, but most of those hours were spent on things that were not exactly the plot. Item World in particular is seductive. Boring, but seductive.
I also need to pick up Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance since it's a totally different game than FFT, and probably one more to my liking given that it uses the FFIX skill advancement system that I liked, and has a bunch of nonhuman races, which I tend to like in general. It was sold out from Best Buy, but then, so is ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I've gone there looking for -- I've bought stuff from Best Buy, but never what I actually went looking for.
Oh, they also came out with two new Zoids in the Z-Builders series -- I bought the kits but still need to assemble them. The Z-Builders are neat because you basically get a bunch of assorted limbs and weapons and heads and flash that can be combined onto the central cubic core units to make pretty much anything -- currently, I have the four original sets combined into a three-headed lizard/dog thing and a winged wolf.
