Today at work, we all went to an expensive penthouse level restaurant in downtown bellevue, noshed on classy snacks, and played board games. A morale event! One that was actually fun! Not that most aren't, but... well, some aren't. This one was, though.

I played 'Tigris and Euphrates' first slot, which is a very silly game. You play a king, a priest, a merchant, and a farmer trying to accumulate points of various colors by manipulating the destiny of various kingdoms. The person who'd played before sat on one side of the board (the best section of the board, we realized several turns in) and played the rest of us like puppets, as we buit up a pair of mega-kingdoms which stared at each other across one of the rivers. Fortunately, the person to my left, who was in cahoots with said person who'd played before, but was also VERY STUPID, screwed up majorly and basically annihilated his half of the kingdom, allowing me to scrape through with a victory. My as-it-turned-out-ally didn't do anything stupid, but horribly neglected his green and blue points, and it's the minimum that counts...

Leonia Uber Alles!

Afterwards, we played a little Robo Rally, but basically ran out of time and had to stop. And it's too late now to do work. Yay!
