I went in for a checkup today, because I haven't had one in, oh, more than ten years. The doctor has perhaps the worst 'bedside manner' I've ever seen. He was SO noncommital that I couldn't tell if I should have a test done, or if it would be a good idea to take this medicine or that medicine, or what. I guess you can't be sued for malpractice if you never actually make a recommendation.

Anyway, I wound up getting a prescription for a different cream to try on my may-not-actually-be-fungus-after-all-since-the-lab-found-nothing, and a Tb booster shot since I haven't had one in as long as I can remember, and my blood drawn for various tests. This involved a lot of waiting, since there's a special 'injection center' and a special 'blood testing lab' and of course the pharmacy.

I took all the numbers at once, to try to cut down on wait times, but the injection and the blood test ended up coming simultaneously. After a half hour's wait, which is pretty impressive. So I had to take a new number for the injection and saved no time.

Observations: Needles don't hurt anymore, or else these needles were sharper than the ones I've used as a kid. The damn Tb shot starts hurting later, though, and I'm still getting twinges in all my muscles because, hey, I was just injected with Tetanus! AHHHHH!
