Minishter of Timewasting
I stopped at Toys-R-Us Saturday and bought 'Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap', which was sold out everywhere else but available in huge piles and racks there for some reason. I'd actually been intending to go to the Comp USA next door to get tax software (it's been a couple weeks since the last 1099 straggled in, so I can start doing taxes now), but what the hell...
Well, I still haven't done my taxes, and since getting the game I haven't touched any of the consoles but the GBA. It's really addictive, and has some nice touches -- like showing you on the world map where something new opened up after each of the ten bazillion times you kinstone fuse with someone.
Also, link gets eaten by cats. Yay!
I'm also in love with the newest version of the ninjas deck that was sucking so hard. I went back to mono blue, added some fabricates to make the vedalkin shackles show up more often, replaced the soratami cloudchasers with 2-mana birds with comes-into-play abilities (sage owl and neurok familiar), and the defensive critters with artifacts (steel wall, ornithopter, wizard replica... and this sounds silly, but it'd work better if I had two more steel walls to replace the wizard replicas with). It flows a lot better now, and seems decently competitive with my other decks, and the random things I see online.
It's weird to play a deck where the only thing you expect to pay more than three for is Higure the Still Wind... but you still don't want to miss your fifth and sixth land drops. }:)
Speaking of online, though, blazing shoal == argh. People keep swinging for 11 on turn 1 with a raging goblin, then following it up with lava spikes.
