I've discovered that, contrary to previous experiments, I *can* play DS games while walking to work. The game just needs to be:
(a) something I'm totally obsessed with
(b) turn based so that I can look up and not get run over by cars while crossing streets
(c) not terribly reliant on noticing things on the screen, because when it's sunny I can barely make it out

Even under those conditions there's a certain amount of eyestrain. *rubs eyes*

I probably shouldn't do it.
