Little things
Sign seen everywhere at work: "It's amazing what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit!"
Unavoidable mental translation: "It's amazing what I can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit!"
The recycling bins at my apartment turned out not to be completely missing, as I'd thought -- they were replaced by a huge recycling dumpster, which seems to imply that we just dump them all in the same bag. At least, that's what I'm doing.
Willpower: A mechanism in the friday game, is than arguments between two people are resolved by an opposed willpower check. For an example of this in action, see this week's Lost. }:P
I'm also wondering whether my willpower is high, or low, since I don't have trouble refusing people who try to browbeat me or getting things that (in my opinion) really need to get done done, but I have a terrible time resisting temptation or getting started on things that need to be done for work. And, really, sometimes I *do* have trouble resisting people asking me to do stuff, as long as they don't make me too annoyed. Salesmen, for instance... I need to stay away from salesmen.
