That was fast!
The change to suppression from -ACC on SS and SJ went live yesterday, which is less than a week since the issue 4 patch. And it's a good thing, because Litany got SS and would have been missing a lot since I kept forgetting to turn it back off after fleeing from battle the first time.
But that's not really what's worth talking about.
There was one mission that, initially, was full of green and blue (weak) council, but gradually ramped up until right in the middle was a hallway full of yellows and oranges. Our 'blanker' (a not-so-friendly term for a blaster who thinks he's a tank) kept trying to 'pull' with short-circuit, a point-blank area-of-effect endurance drain. This usually worked, in the sense that the enemies would come and attack us after he was dead, but didn't do anything to break up spawns, so there were usually also other deaths.
Eventually, people convinced him to stop -- instead, 'Tankr Gurrrl', an invulnerability tank with temporary invulnerability ONLY from her primary and a bunch of pool powers (including flight, hover, air superiority, jump kick, boxing, and recall friend), decided that she would pull by running into the middle of the enemies and taunting. She lasted slightly longer, but it the end it was the same.
Frustrated with this display of idiocy, I told them that it was my turn, and that to continue the tradition, I would pull with Snow Storm. They seemed to have no problem with this idea.
I threw in a Gale for good measure -- no sense waking up ONE group of twenty when you can blow them back into the next, for double the fun.
Then, as they were charging towards the party, I hit superspeed and ran away around a corner, watching the party's health bars and cackling evilly... until I noticed that, strangely, no one was dying. I came back to see them mopping up the last few enemies, congratulating each other (and me) on the good job.
GRRRR.
