Friday night we played some Shadake, moving on to the second of the three cities the genies had asked us to warn and/or get help from on our way to Jaxom.

Bedbuggggggggg

Well, I still have them. I caught two last night, hanging out all casual like near the windowsill in the bedroom. I caught one in a baggy as evidence, but the other one got away, by dropping off the wall into the heater. To its DEATH. I hope. The heater was on, and everyone seems to think that that's enough heat to kill them.

I talked to the apartment manager, and she said she'll talk to the exterminators about making another visit next week. It shouldn't be *quite* as hellish to get set up this time since I never get un-set-up from last time. v.v And most of my cloth things are still sealed in plastic bags from last time, so I have a lot less laundry to do.

She also said that it was okay to use diatomaceous earth as long as I didn't hurt myself. When I *ordered* it, I'd only seen the sites that said it was 100% effective and totally safe. Since then, I've found sites that said it was kind of dangerous if you breathe it and didn't always work because insects can build up a resistance to it. Maybe *they're* the ones that are wrong, and it really is too good to be true?

Anyway, I'm a bit torn on whether to use it. I probably should at least give it a try -- I picked up an anti-particulate face-mask at the hardware store while I was out getting comics, so it's at least possible for me to try it without being totally stupid and deserving death.

I'm also starting to hate bedbugs on a personal level. Not because they're blood sucking parasites, or so hard to track down, but because they're *malicious*. They bit me like a dozen times in the same small patch of skin a couple nights back, on my upper left arm, so that the whole area was just burning with one continuous dose of itch. x.x The anti-itch cream got it under control, but MAN. That was just MEAN.
